Termite Inspection

Termite inspection involves a thorough examination of a property by professionals to detect signs of termite activity. It’s essential for early detection and prevention of termite damage

Termite treatment involves eliminating termites from a property and preventing future infestations. Our team tailors treatment plans to the property’s needs for long-term control.

Termites Inspection Step by Step

  • Visual inspection of both the interior and exterior of the home, looking for signs of termite activity.
EXTERIOR

check the foundation, crawlspace, attic and beams, and perimeter of the home. Look for mud tubes and damaged wood or signs of wings shed near windows/light sources. For damaged/hollow wood, a screwdriver may be needed to expose and look for hidden damage.

INTERIOR

check baseboards, flooring, window frames, trim, and structural beams in the basement/crawlspace. Use the Tapper on frames, beams and skirting boards to check for hollow sounds. Probing tools (screwdriver for example) to confirm. Use Termatrac/Moisture Meter/Borescope to check between wall spaces for activity/risk. Some minor probing or drilling to inspect in wall spaces or behind materials may be needed, advise customers before carrying out.

  • PHOTOS – Pictures are taken throughout Pest control termite inspection, especially of high-risk areas and any signs of activity.
  • REPORT – A report will be formed on FormPigeon after inspection, attaching photos, detailing any findings and evidence/risk of termite. Also, a “Termite Management Proposal” (quote for barrier treatment) will be sent to every customer getting an inspection.

Termites Treatment Step By Step

Spot/Localised

Targets localized areas of termite activity, applying termiticides or baiting systems directly to affected spots rather than treating the entire property. It’s a focused and cost-effective solution for addressing isolated termite infestations.

Baiting/Monitoring

Involves placing termite baits or monitoring stations to attract and eliminate termites. Termites feed on the bait, which eventually eliminates the entire colony. It’s a less intrusive and environmentally friendly alternative to chemical treatments.

Chemical Barrier

Involves applying liquid termiticides around a property’s perimeter to create a protective barrier against termites. This barrier repels or kills termite attempting to enter the structure, serving as an effective preventative measure or part of a treatment plan.

Pre-Construction

Applies termite control measures before building, preventing future infestations. Methods include soil termiticide treatment, physical barriers, or termite-resistant materials, safeguarding the property from damage.

Reticulation Refill

A termite control system uses underground pipes to evenly distribute liquid termiticides around a property, creating a long-lasting barrier against termite intrusion.
